Project AGARWOOD is our project to empower marginalised Singaporean to attain professional skill sets and uplift to be Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs) through the accounting profession and by leveraging on technology.
Project AGARWOOD is not merely attempting to create basic employment or empowerment for our marginalised Singaporean to earn a living, but we aspire to create the possibility and opportunity for our marginalised Singaporean to hold onto esteemed career with higher economy value and output for our society and economy, with the emergence of new technological tools and a formation of a team of people with a mix of relevant professional experience and social impact motivation to open the door for our marginalised Singaporean to be PMETS.
Through our empowerment program, batches of differently-abled candidates will have the opportunity to be uplifted to be a professional PMET after 3-5 years. Please refer to our PPT attached for more information.
Hopefully, this can also be a case study for other professions to engage and support our marginalised community and to create a virtuous cycle of social impact in our economy and a multiplying effect across the industries.
Project AGARWOOD is a member of raiSE and has been awarded Venture for Good grant funding for its social impact motivation.
As of todate, one of our candidate, who is hearing impaired with no accounting background, is now successfully trained to perform accounting tasks and drafting of financial statements with limited supervision. In particular, she has also successfully attained the Xero Accounting Solution Advisor Certification.

About the
Founder / Director:
Johnny Goh has been CFO of SME and public listed company, a private equity investment professional, corporate banker, auditor and chartered accountant. He now supports the small and medium businesses with financial management, compliance, investment and business advisory.
After over 27 years of experience and skill sets in these corporate backgrounds, he feels his contributions to the world, while necessary, are not truly making a difference in this world. He believes that the years of work for large business and financial corporates did not mean as much as using the experience, skill sets and time to support our small business and startups community.
Beyond the commercial world, Johnny is also involved in charitable causes and social sector capacity building, including advising charities and social enterprises on financial and digitization solutions. He is also an accredited and approved Singapore Certified Management Consultant recognised by Enterprise Singapore.

o Structuring of acquisition of 50% stake into a Myanmar subsidiary with call option for complete acquisition. Subsequent full acquisition as a wholly owned subsidiary, bypassing foreign ownership restriction
o Achieve the best return to shareholders (Return on Equity and Dividend payout), lowest relative debt borrowings (Debt/Equity Ratio), most lean cost structure and best profitability for the financial year 2011, among comparable listed peers
