Green Is The New Black is a lifestyle media platform which has two goals - firstly helping individuals to live more consciously, and secondly to connect them to responsible brands by amplifying their sustainability initiatives. They run Asia's first Conscious Festivals in both Singapore and Hong Kong, having gathered more than 15,000 people. And they work closely with hotels, restaurants, and large-scale events to greener their operations and support their sustainability journeys.
They are an Asian-based collective on a mission to make sustainability mainstream, accessible and sexy through #LittleGreenSteps – a campaign that uses the codes of pop culture to convert the masses and then encourages them to embrace a series of small steps that yield big change. These not-too-difficult and easy-on-the-wallet strategies are easily adopted by individuals and organizations looking to live more consciously one #LittleGreenStep at a time.

They have been running our Conscious Festivals annually in Singapore since 2015 and Hong Kong since 2017. This year will be their 5th year anniversary. These events are a combination of marketplaces, talks, workshops - bringing together individuals and businesses to be the catalyst for change.

Stephanie Dickson, Founder
Stephanie Dickson is a leading voice in sustainability across Asia. She founded Green Is The New Black, Asia’s first Conscious Festival and media platform, for people who want to live more sustainably by improving the way they think, work and consume while doing more good in the world. Her mission is to make sustainability mainstream, accessible and sexy.
Stephanie is regularly asked to conduct talks and workshops on directing and driving corporations green initiatives, rethinking and implementing sustainability at work, and inspiring keynotes on actionable green steps for meaningful change. She has conducted talks and workshops in cities around Asia.
As a changemaker in the green space, Stephanie has been described as "sustainability entrepreneur helping Asia businesses combat climate change" (CNBC) and a "force of nature" (Honeycombers). She is also a two-time TEDx speaker (P&G), and one of Prestige 40 Under 40 (2018).
Paula Miquelis, Co-Founder
Paula Miquelis is an entrepreneur, sustainability geek and creative. She co-founded Green Is The New Black (GITNB), Asia’s first conscious festival and online platform for people who want to #LiveMoreConsciously by improving the way they live, consume, work and travel while doing more good in the world. This is a place where fun and social environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
