Lumin(ai)re is an SUTD & NTU start-up founded in Singapore, funded by Enterprise Singapore under the StartupSG grant, with co-investment by Spaze Ventures as Accredited Mentor Partner (AMP).

Since November 2018, Lumin(ai)re has partnered with the A*STAR I2R (Agency for Science, Technology & Research) for R&D relating to GAN potential in next-generation vision computing.

Lumin(ai)re's present core business is the SaaS Creative Online Ad Banner Generation tool, using an A/B testing model to determine creative tastes based on regional, cultural and product category variations.

The tech startup is presently building the taste ecosystem of the future, where each piece of sensorial content can be generated by AI and data in real-time, tailoring engagement to unique customer profiles across industries.

Han Phay is the Founder & CEO of Luminaire AI, and a research scholar at the Nanyang Technological University Singapore. His current research work involves the use of Artificial Intelligence in the areas of Creativity.

He was previously from the creative advertising industry, having worked with brands including MATTER, Lawry's The Prime Rib, OMRON-APAC, Kazu Japan, Swiss Club Singapore, Meitu Inc, Levi's Singapore, Clarks, Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia and CutQ. With a passion in the arts, design and technology, he is always looking for ways to merge them together in the ecosystem of the future. 

Han graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising from the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), and a Diploma of Higher Education in Interactive Art from the LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore.

He also holds a Certificate in Entrepreneurship Essentials from the Harvard Business School Online, and has recently finished his Master of Arts (research) at the Nanyang Technological University, School of Art, Design & Media(ADM). His research topic is "Creative AI: A Data-Driven Design Approach for Creative Online Ad Optimisation using Artificial Intelligence & Big Data".
