About the Company:
Extra•Ordinary People is a non-profit Singapore charity with IPC status, dedicated to empowering individuals with special needs, providing them with opportunities for personal growth, vocational development, and social integration. Through a range of specialised programmes in the arts, employment skills, and community engagement, the charity strives to foster independence and inclusion, helping beneficiaries lead fulfilling and productive lives.
The charity’s core initiatives come under our CAMPUS programme. This includes the Performing Arts Vocational Pathway, which features the Extra•Ordinary Music Company (EMC), offering individualised development programmes that use music and singing to promote creativity, self-expression, and employability. Through its Visual Arts and Culinary Arts Vocational Pathways, Extra•Ordinary People also nurtures the talents of individuals in the visual and culinary fields, providing vocational training and work exposure to enhance their skills and career prospects.
In addition to vocational training, the charity runs community engagement initiatives such as An Extra•Ordinary Celebration, Singapore’s largest inclusive concert, where individuals with special needs perform alongside their mainstream peers, fostering inclusivity and breaking down societal barriers. The charity also emphasizes advocacy, diversity, and inclusivity in employment, with its Disability & Inclusion Training for employers.
